Brendon Votipka

Brendon Votipka is a playwright, director, and professor living in Manville, New Jersey.

Brendon’s artistic work employs diverse styles of theatricality in service of complex characterization, active questions and truthful storytelling.  Brendon cultivates community with other playwrights through teaching creative writing workshops, organizing living room readings, curating NYC Studio development readings, and participating in professional activities through The Dramatists Guild of America.

As Assistant Director for the Rutgers University Writing Program, Brendon’s focus on collaboration, dialogue, and  constructive feedback supports his work with students, tutors, instructors and administrators.   Brendon is also passionate about sharing pedagogy that develops curiosity, empathy, and rigor in writing classrooms through his work as a professional development presenter for the Writing Program Institute.
