Brendon has cultivated his passion for teaching through tutor, instructor, and program director positions in writing centers, college prep programs, and university classrooms. (When he’s lucky, he gets to lead artistic and adventurous field trips! See below!)

Assistant Teaching Professor, Rutgers Writing Program
Brendon currently serves as an Assistant Director for the Rutgers University Writing Program, where he coordinates The Plangere Writing Center.  In addition to teaching fundamental courses like Expository Writing and Basic Composition, Brendon has created a wide array of research course topics like “Theatre and Performance Studies,” “Love and Sex,” “Cartoon Satire” and “That’s So Gay!”  Brendon has also contributed as an instructor for Writing Program InstituteRutgers EOF Pharmacy Program, and Rutgers Future Scholars.

Teaching Creative Writing is one of Brendon’s great passions.  As a “sherpa” on the creative writing adventure, Brendon empowers writers to use their voices, take risks, and develop community through communication. Brendon has been the resident ENG:207 “Intro to Playwriting” teacher for the Muhlenberg College Department of English, Creative Writing Program since 2012.   He also currently teaches “Introduction to Multimedia Composition” @RU.
